Hello,
I have a house with a relatively new driveway , 4 years about . Unfortunately I had someone shovel the driveway and they used an ice chipper . It caused some damage I would like to repair, or hire someone . I have attached a photo of a section where it’s the most dense .
The driveway was painted an soft brown color , in order to hide some other issues with it …., But the ice chipper messed that up . Can I touch that up somehow or would I need to redo the whole driveway ?
It just looks really bad, the photo doesn’t really show how bad . I’d just like to make it nice again if possible, or I’m worried about not being able to sell without dropping the price quite a bit …I also just don’t like to see it ..
Any advice ? Thank you ..

Painted?
Never have seen that done.
I’d be more concerned with the crack.
Did you contact those that poured the drive?
I haven't . Unfortunately that wasn't the best experience, getting it poured . I know the driveway had a warranty but , once he sees the ice chip marks I don't believe honor the warranty, and if I have to pay is go with a different contractor . I agree the crack is an issue but I was hoping I could fill it in with something .
Guy who used to live across the street painted the concrete drive. Looks better for a while.
You should be able to touch up the paint. many places can color match, if you have or can get a flake off the driveway.
Or power wash and repaint the whole thing.
(use a paint meant for outdoor concrete)
Alright I could try that , I'll talk to my neighbor about that , we share the driveway. Unfortunately paint started peeling off a few weeks after it was installed , contractor said we drove on it , but we didn't ...
That’s why it’s called a driveway, no?
Did he suggest a couple weeks?
Oh yes I meant just for a couple weeks then we could drive on it again . The paint was only even necessary because they left this orange stuff on it when they originally poured it , and left it on too long . When they finally took it off it left obvious marks so they suggested the paint . It's been a mess from the beginning lol..
A mess…..
That’ s indeed a shame.
