Want to put in a dropped ceiling with recessed tile and was wondering if there is a special space or distance the drop ceiling needs to be placed from the original height of the ceiling?

Ya need about two inches to easily get the tiles in, but if it has a light fixxture measure it, more like 5"..IIRC
