Dryer vent + water lines in soffit
Anyone ever used an ejector pump for a clothes washer drainage system? Wedging one into a small space in a condo and would be running the drain line in a drywall soffit(term I use for drywall box running along ceiling) and would have to use the ejector pump for drainage. Would be running below dryer vent in soffit though that should cause no problems.

Dryers have to be next to the exterior wall, with the shortest duct possible.
People with dryers in condos and high rises have all sorts of problems.
Well, it's next to an exterior wall, just not a convenient spot for any opening to the outside until approximately ~10 feet down the wall.

The dryer does not have to be next to an exterior wall. Just check the manual or call the manufacturer to find out what the maximum vent run they allow. My whirpool is rated for a 30' straight run and then you subtract x feet for each turn in the vent.
Or you can get a dryer booster vent (fantech makes one) and get effectively unlimited run.

I've had one of them for four years now, and we likes it. My wife swears that the clothes dry faster in this house than in any previous one, and given that cfm that those Fantech units move, I believe her. The switch is pressure activated, and the fan runs for several minutes after the dryer shuts off to clear the moisture.Andy Engel, The Former Accidental Moderator

Aren't the clothes already dry by that point?
Does lint collect on that type of assist blower?

The Fantec in line booster fan runs an extra few minutes to clear the pipes of any CO2 and other gasses.
Yes, lint collects on the unit, but the mfgr suggests an outboard lint trap which fits on the 4" line after the dryer and before the in line booster fan. The trap has a little trap door, which one opens and cleans out the lint.
The better solution as far as Fantec is concerned is, in my opinion, the exterior mounted fan. It sucks, as opposed to pushes the air out of the pipes and requires no lint trap. It mounts on the exterior of the home, so one has to wire 120v and 4" pipe to that location. It is also pressure activated.Regards,
