Hi guys,
I have a split level home, plain rectangle simple gable roof. The front yard slopes pretty sharply into the front of the house. The garage doors are on the gable end of the home. For years I have been getting water in the garage, from the corner nearest the front door ( the far front corner.) Water seeps in through the wall/floor joint. During a heavy rain we might get 2-3 gallons through the wall total. My question is by applying drylok (if it worked) to the wall would I possibly create more damage by preventing the water migration? I am afraid that the buildup of hydrostatic pressure might further damage the footing or the wall. My soil is a pretty heavy clay consistency.
I figure that either the water table is high in this spot, but probably the foundation drain is clogged. Eventually I will have to have it dug out and corrected , but I was hoping for a temporary/ less expensive fix.

Hey Could any one give me an opinion as to whether the drylok would work or not?
I am concerned about the buildup of water pressure if it did.
I think drylock will just be a band aid and not a cure. I would take the time and dig out around the location discussed and see what the problem is.
