I am putting up drywall on the interior walls in my farmhouse. The question I have is that the stone walls that but up in the corners are plaster. This plaster is sound unlike the interior plaster that was taken down and replaced with the drywall. Is there any thing special that needs to be done or used when taping the corner of walls that have drywall on one and plaster on the other? Or should I tape as if they were both drywall? Thanks Joe

No. Go ahead and tape it with the regular setting mud (joint compound). Just make sure there is no glossy paint or old 'calcimine' type paint that the compound is being put directly onto. If there is, you must sand the old plaster where the paint is (100 grit) and prime with a good oil stainkiller primer, then you can go ahead and tape onto that.
I hope this technique works out as easily as it sounds. I have to do this this week on a wall.
