I have a project that will involve 3 rooms + hallway of drywall that I plan to do myself- after suffering through a similar experience in the past with nothing more than a t-bar support, wall cleats, and my gumption, I’m thinking about getting one of those drywall lifts. I figured they would be a pretty specialized tool and hard to find…boy, was I wrong. There are lots of them on Amazon, Craigslist, Ebay…and most of the sellers use the same image in their ads. I inquired with one of the sellers, who said they were the mfr…oddly, another seller uses exactly the same image and says that they are the manufacturer. I’m getting the feeling that most of these jobbers are china made (or worse), and it’s awful hard to differentiate them. Here’s some examples: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_kw=drywall%20lift&_fcid=1&_localstpos=92549&_sc=1&_sop=15&_sticky=1&_stpos=92549&gbr=1 http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/tls/1519558047.html http://www.amazon.com/Pentagon-6020-Foot-Drywall-Lazy-Lifter-Professional-11-Foot-Drywall-Lift-Hois/dp/B00149E822/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1262842858&sr=1-1 Anybody have experience with these lifts? Recommendations on where to buy, or what to avoid? What did you pay?
