Wet the mud, let it soak for about a few minutes then use a piece of wood or plastic knife to "scrape" it off or use your fingernail. Never use any metal utensil to scrape it!
Had a situation once with adhesive of some type hard to remove from a fiberglass shower stall. It might have been the manufacturer's stickers or something. Called them and they said use silicone spray to clean and polish the thing. Guy that followed up on that said it worked like magic. Maybe call the manuf. for a tip.
Hot water , cover drain so mud does not clog it.

Is this the drying type or the setting type?
If it's the drying type it's probably best to plug the drain and keep wetting it with water till it's washed away and settles on the bottom of the tub. Then scoop it up with something soft. A hand held shower head helps a lot. Resist the temptation of rubbing it off because it is a mild abrasive and it may dull the finish.
If it's the setting type then you have to soak it till you can pop it off with a lateral push using your finger.
I would avoid rubbing at all. Let is soak as long as it takes till it comes off with just a rag. If it's on a vertical surface you can lay wet towels over it. Adding quite a bit of vinegar to the water will help.
