Screws.
Coarse threads for wood studs. The screws must penetrate a minimum of 5/8 inch into the studs.

No question, screws.
Most of our hangers hang it with just a few nails and come back later and screw. When we remodel small jobs we use all screws, If old work we try to get 1-inch penetration to get deeper penetration.
Thanks for your inputs. I just wanted to know how the majority did it. I was planning on using a screw gun.
Thanks till next time.

Glue and screw
I "second" what Jerry said....GLUE and SCREWS. ...glue is cheap and helps tremendously.....especially with ceilings.
