I just measured for these stacked curved stairways. My camera doesnt do the size or depth of the “hole” justice as it is 22 feet down to the basement floor.
I have some serpentine railing to connect to the two arched balcony sections. It will be a fun project.
I built a stairway for this guys brother about 10 years ago. Word of mouth advertising can be the best or the worst advertising to anyone self employed!

That first pic looks like one of my engine rebuilds - bunch o parts left over. The roof doesn't look like it's missing anything but ya just never know these days -:)
Looks like a fun one; looking forward to the photos. Hope you don't run out of space like our other leading photo essayst!
funny you should mention about running out of space. I actually wanted to post one more picture...and I am out of space! I am completely done posting pictures. I am going to post a thread asking how to fix this.

22 ft down and no handrail around the hole.
What do you mean by dual stacked? Does one stair go up to the 2nd floor?

eddie: Dual...is two stairs of course...stacked...is one on top of the other. The bottome stairs goes from the basement to the main level....11 ft....then the top stairway goes from the main level to the 2nd level...another 11 feet.
