    Hasbeen,

Same here. I just checked a thread I started and was surprised to find unread messages to me. No email notification.

I always want to respond or at least acknowledge replies. It can get rude enough, esp. in the Woodshed, without people feeling that they're being ignored when they took time to reply.

All of my forum subscriptions vanished, in toto, this weekend. Now the new ones are disappearing one at a time. I have aluminum foil every where except the beer cooler(don't want the old timer's). What do I do now? Don't worry, we can fix that later!

Do you mean new posts that didn't show up on the left-hand window?  Did you try 'refresh'?

Every once in a while I have to del my temp files to get stuff to refresh properly (Tools-->Internet Options --> Delete Files --> Delete all offline content --> OK).  If you haven't done this in a while, it might take a couple minutes.

And zap your cookies while you're there (don't toss 'em, del 'em).

And another witchdoctor cure is the hold the "ctrl" and click refresh.  Supposedly this forces it to reload all of the page, rather than trying to utilize temporary files.

And if this isn't what you were talking about, then just ignore the man behind the curtain.jt8

just bear in mind, that sending an email isn't rock solid.  They don't all get through as it is.

And to make it worse, any anti-SPAM software anywhere along the line (could be your ISP, could be on your PC, could be anyone passing the email along) might zap the email.... especially with a 'from' line of [email protected]

Typically I'm surprised at the number of them that actually get through.
