I have had great success with the polyurethane glues. Elmers is great and a little lower in cost than Gorilla. Plenty of open time and moisture catalyzed.
For interior work, Titebond works well. So does poluyurethane glues such as Gorilla glue. In either case, I might think about using biscuits to strengthen the joint and for ease (alignment) during assembly.

I like polyurethane and biscuits. I have done exterior flat laminations of SYP (for a sawn arch) with exterior Titebond and screws; still good after 5 years.
