I’m moving my electric dryer about 25 feet to a new location. Can I safely splice the electrical feed with the needed new lenght in an approved electical juntion box or should I use a new one piece lenght of cable.? Thanks

You need to make sure that the wire gauge is sufficient to handle the additional 25 feet without voltage drop. Some knowledgable folks will be along with specific advice. But otherwise, just remove the recepticle that you're using now and mount that in the new box at the new location, and put a blank cover over the current box, leaving it accessible as a junction box with your splice in the box.
If it is an 4 wire system you can.
If it is an older 3 wire system it really should be upgraded to a new 4 wire system.
