Does anyone have any experience using electric cut-off saws to cut concrete? I am talking about full depth (4-5″) cutting of basement floors. In the past I have cut basement floors to add a sewer pump system using my Stihl gas saw. Even renting exhaust fans, this still stinks up the home for 24-48 hrs. I know that Bosch, Milwaukee, Husqvarna, and Cardi all make electric models, but I am worried about the amount of torque they will have when the cutting gets deep. It is not hard to bind up a gas saw when you have most of the blade buried.

I hire saw cuts out, it is not something I would even consider doing. They are set up with the all the saws and water pickup equipment and damn near everything else in that truck. One thing I"ve never seen, the label on anything. They carry 110/220 and can use the on truck generator/compressor as necessary.
Yeah, the experts might choose to use a hydraulic saw with the gas motor outside, if they don't feel an electric unit will suffice.
I had a concrete contractor come in with an electric and a 20a circuit would not hold it, but there did seem to be plenty of power.
They cut out a bathroom floor. They tried to pick up all of the water but some still got away. It wasn't horrible but I was expecting the mess.
