How is everbody doing? I’ve got a couple of questions about electric floorheat. I’m remodeling my kitchen and diningroom, making it into one room, seperated by an 8′ opening(Arch). Total floorarea appr. 350 to 400 square feet. Ceramic tiles over a mudjob. I don’t mind spending a little more on the electric radiant heat as long it is of good quality and i dont have any problems later on. I plan on installing the floorheat myself. I checked out one website “warmly yours” , but i wasn’t impressed. by the way i will deduct square footage for basecabinets and kithen island. Thanks for any feedback!

What didn't impress you about Warmly Yours? Knowing whatever it was would help in steering you to where you're trying to get to.
Since this is a remodel, is the space already heated by another source? Will the RFH simply be for comfort, or is it intended as the primary heating source for that space? How many DD where you live? Is your house well constructed? Have you run calcs to see how many BTUs per foot you need? What's under the floor? Is electric heat financially feasable?
Yadda, yadda, yadda...
For a space that large, you may want to opt away from cable-in-mesh systems and just run cable. It's less expensive (which may impress you) and a properly designed and installed system could work quite well.
Wanted to add this to my first post but it hasn't been released for viewing by Big Brother yet...links to radiant mat/cable companies:
