Electric radiant heat brands
I am thinking of installing RH in my bathroom. Size is about 25’ft, under tile . It will be the room’s sole source of heat. The room has no windows but it does have 2 skylights.
I am researching different brands available and would like to know if anyone has a brand rcommendation. I am looking for a product that is easy to install and rugged. Good customer support and design services would be a plus. Thank you

"Radiant heating" can mean
"Radiant heating" can mean about 6 different things, from resistance panels in floors or walls to baseboard units to in-the-wall units to infrared lamps. Which do you mean?
Radiant Heat
Sorry! I would like to put electric mat RH in the bathroom.
NuHeat, SunTouch, WarmlyYours.
All three have been around for a long time, good products, good customer service.
Bathroom RH
My space is not super insulated and I would like the RH to be the sole source. I will have to research the Schulter products. Thank you.
Pros and Con
We used to use Nuheat, now use Ditra Heat. The advantages are:
1. More flexible in terms of layout.
2. Built-in decoupling. You have to add that to Nuheat if youi need/want it.
3. Flatter floor. Nu heat will give a slight material height build up from your underlayment surface to mat that should be floated out. This is not an issue with Ditra as the mat is a continuous thickness whether the wire is there, or not.
4. We have found it to be a more cost effective material and effecient installation.
5. Generally less lead time for getting material size to work custom areas.
6. Comes with a backup T-stat wire for installation. YOu have to order that seperately from Nuheat if you want that piece of mind.
ONe disadvantage is that you will use more thinset due to filling decoupling geometry. However, you are getting the decoupling action with this geometry, so we feel the additional material cost and labor is well justified.
