electric under tile heat

Anyone have a suggestion as to brand of under-tile electric heat.  I know of SunTouch and it seems unreasonably expense.  Holy cow it is a wire in a plastic matt.  About $15 a sq ft?  Any other options?  Know of any cheaper ways to source it/

I know I have bought Kerdi membrane on ebay for far less than list price, for example.

Other brands?

Suggestions?

A nice to have but not necesaary, and not sure it is worth a $1500 investment.
