We have an old stove wired with #3 6/G copper. Can we use that wire to install 50 amp subpanel and run a 40 amp cooktop and 20 amp wall oven off that subpanel? Thanks

If you're saying you have 3 wires + a ground wire and the size is #6. Then yes.
