Electrical Questions and Answers

BossHog | Posted in Construction Techniques on May 17, 2007 02:56am

Why don’t you try politely asking a question and see how it goes?

You’ll get a lot more helpful responses without the “in your face” attitude…

We judge ourselves by our motives, and other by their actions. [Dwight Morrow]

Where can someone ask or answer an electrical question related to the professional installer without being bombarded by YOUNG BRATS who have no clue about the subject?

With respect, that sounds like a question a YOUNG BRAT would ask ;-)

Joe Tedesco is the moderator of the "Electric Shop" section of JLC's forums. It might actually be "was", as the Electric Shop forum header indicates they're looking for a moderator..Brooks

        no matter...
look likes he "was" here...Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->

WOW!!! What a Ride!Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!

Doh!! I wondered why that name seemed so familiar :-)

I didn't see the original message, just the part repeated in the subsequent post.

The original poster was "Joe Tedesco", and I doubt that he is the real Joe Tedesco.  I've read a lot of Joe's stuff, and met him a few times.  I don't think he's the type to come in here and look for trouble.  He's an expert in the field, he lives and breathes topics electrical, and shares his expertise freely.  He's enthusiastic, but not antagonistic.  At least that's my impression.

My guess is, the "Joe Tedesco" who started this thread is an impostor, a troll, who is pissed at Joe for booting him off the JLC forum.

I was wondering the same thing...Joe Tedesco is a nationally recognized instructor and consultant on the NEC.  I've seen his posts on various other web boards, plus he's a regular contributor to EC&M magazine (and probably some other electrical trade magazines as well.)  That didn't sound at all like the sort of thing he would say.

He has a great photograph collection of bad electrical work.  This is one of my favorites:

"My guess is, the "Joe Tedesco" who started this thread is an impostor, a troll, who is pissed at Joe for booting him off the JLC forum."Well Joe can't boot anyone off the JLC forum. He is not longer moderator. Last year he went through a period of deleting and replacing threads. After that he was not moderator. And he was going for a while, but shown up again. And many of his post are cryptic and when asked a question about it he often response with something compeltely different. His lates trick is googling peoples names or handles. Here is one that he did on me."Please change the music, I like the Eagles!http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ID=106 121257PS: Your profile here shows N/A, so that tells me nothing about you but the profile above is interesting, I will be a regular visitor, and if I may, start eating oatmeal, I already lost 10 pound this month.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.

Sounds like he checked for live wires with his tongue once too often...
