Hello all, I need advice on how to splice into a 120v water pump for a water fountain. The fountain basin has a 1″ hole (with self sealing grommet) in the middle that an electrical cord passes through to splice into a submerged water pump. What do I use to make the water proof splice. The previous broken fountain had a completely different set up that included a 1/2″ conduit that stubbed up into the fountain basin high enough so it was not in water (I wonder if this was an acceptable practice). But the new fountain will not accommodate this stub up. Is there a standard application for running 120v electrical to a water fountain? I prefer not to run an exterior GFCI box next to the fountain and plug into it. We want everything out of sight. Thanks.
