Upgrading the footings and columns that support a girder beam is an opportunity to level out the floor above.

Irfan view has a batch resize, you need that and then go to save AS (not 480x960) ,,,,,oh shid, just ZIP them to your self and send the file to printer..XP will do that I think.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Download Irfanview.Once it's installed, open it, click File and then select Batch ConversionIn the window that comes up, Top right side "Look In" -- find the folder that has the images you want to resize. Select the images you want to use and click "Add" or "Add All" from the buttons on the left side of the window. You'll see them load into the column there as you add them.Just below that "Output Directory" -- select the folder that you want to hold the new, resized images.Toward the bottom right side "Use Advanced Options" -- click this box and then click the button labeled "Set Advanced Options" -- this opens a new window -- "Resize" -- set your new image size here. You can put in a hard height by width number, or just put in a height or width amount and let the program size the other parameter accordingly. Once that's set, click "OK" and it'll take you back to the original window.Click "Start" in the upper left. You can download Picasa from Google for free.
I find it easy to work with.

use the irfanview Thumbnails to select the directory. Under File is the option Make Contact Sheet. This will assemble a block of thumbnailed images, with filenames if you indicate. Might take a second step to import into Word, but the contact sheet is there.

If you're having trouble with Irfanview, try this.
CompuPic from Photodex. http://www.photdex.com
It isn't free, but it is one of the most versatile photo managment software packages.
It lets you do index sheets, as well as batch resizing, renaming, or adjustments.
They have a trial policy, so you can download and run it free for a trial.
I used to manage about 500 to 1000 construction progress photos a week with it.
It more than payed for itself.
All the suggestions made thus far are good.
However, there's actually a really easy way to do this. MS actually has a photo resizer app you can download for free:

Once installed you can right-click a directory of images and it will automatically make thumbnails of them all for you.
So I get piss off at it, at midnight working on the report, finally go to bed. 4am come early. Threaten to quit about three time. During the meeting achitect never did open the report, never said a thing about it. It was 36 pages long.
That is the way it always works!
