I had new laminate countertops installed in a my rental. The installer overstated his abilities. What is the best adhesive FOR ME to try to secure the end caps? Thanks.

The most common way to make your own parging mix is to use either Type S mortar for block or Type N for brick and add a concrete bonding additive.

They usually have glue already on the back of them, just heat them up with an iron while holding in place.
Thanks! I learn something new every day.
If you find that the end caps are not pre-glued, get a small can of non-flammable contact adhesive at your local hardware store. Follow the directions on the can.

If you use a clothes iron, put a clean sheet of xerox paper between the iron and the laminate. Otherwise you might end up with something on the sole of the iron that DW doesn't like.

Dern good advice. For years I've contemplated picking up an iron to use strickly for that purpose. Do so little of it that the only time I think about it is after its too late and I gotta have an iron NOW.
Trashed a couple of DWs irons over the years.

We have st vinnys and goodwill here so irons are 2.00 or so. Tthe old iron from the 70's real heavy ones work a good heat better. and we have used them to save a piece of laminte by using a wet rag and the iron. They work great for a cheese sandwich warm up in the winter.Ha Ha but you can't get away with takin' the DW without some long term wyning comming back on you. It's a cheep investment but don't buy a new one.
You can also use that old iron to wax your skis, if you are into that sort of thing.
Anything you do will look better than the green duct tape mine had when I bought the house. Obviously a problem the previous owner had trouble with.
