Ok,
anyone who listens to Dave Ramsey is familiar with that term.
Funny guy, but from what I can tell his brilliance is in making an empire out of telling people to do things that really should just be common sense. But a heck of a cheerleader, and maybe that’s what people need most.
ANYWAY, if you don’t know…………
AN Endorsed Local Provider is someone who meets a set of criteria, which we’ll assume for the current discussion to mean they act in your best interest with no Bu%^&it. Presumably the proviers are screened to a set standard so that anyojne who uses them can do so with confidence.
In a thread where the OP was asking advice on getting started my two cents was to find professionals, accountants, Insurance agents and lawyers who had been tested and proven.
Mike Smith responded with a story about how his own insurance agent may well have saved his business from bankruptcy.
But for every story like that? There’s one that makes me cringe when I hear the advice that an alleged insurance agent or lawyer or accountant has given.
SO.
Has anyone seen or heard of such a thing for small businesses or the trades?
If not? Does anyone think it would be a worth while endeavor?

I am sorry, but I am confused by your question.
Do you want to be a Endorsed Provider?
Are you looking for EP?
Ramsey's EPs have to take a week long course and sort of buy into his philosophy.
I like D Ramsey, but I hate listening to his shows.
Most of his answers fall into several categories
a. sell the pickup
b. get a job
c. don't get $50,000 in student loans
LOL I think he is doing yeomans work in helping people get out of their personal mess and our nation needs more advice like his.

I have no desire to be an endorsed local anything...
However,
I do wonder if a similar thing exists for the people that service trades?
Insurance?
Accountants?
It would be nice to be able to find one based on an accurate assessment of their skill rather than "He's a good guy, I use him and so does Joe".
As for Dave?
I think some of his advice is a recipe for disaster for some families...........but that's another thread.

I don't think so.
Not many insurance or accountants can buy into Ramsey's philosophy.
I think you are your own in finding good professionals.

I think most of his advice is dead on, but hard for the average debt hungry American to swallow. We all want to get ahead and buy stuff, but we don't want to wait for it.
You are going to pay for it, you just have to decide if you want it now(take on debt) or if you want to wait for (pay cash).
Another thread I guess.

I'm less concerned with them buyiing into Dave's philosophy as I am a reliable source for tested professionals.
For example, most guys think their accountant is great......right up until audit time. That's why I suggest you get refrences for things like accountants from someone who HAS been audited and survived.
I'm less interested in finding those professionals for myself than I am in the business prospects of setting up such a system.
As for Dave.....I think telling a family to sell a car with a $350 a month payment, then taking a personal loan to cover the amount they were upside down and going out to buy a $1500 beater car..........................is borderline criminally negligent.
But for the most part.............you're right, he's just telling people what they should already know but can't face.
I like Dave Ramsey and I listen to him often
I think most of what he does is telling people what they already know but dont want to hear.
last week Dave said 7.2% unemployment means that 92.8% are gainfully employed and doing business as usual.
I have to agree and I also think there's a good 3 to 4% who dont want to work and another large % are unemployable
our schools are generating a lot of empty heads
