About 6 months ago, I heard (and I stress the word heard, because I didn’t read this anywhere) that new technologies are allowing the development of windows with an energy rating approaching R-15. I would have expected, if this were the case, that new products would be on the drawing board for skylights and windows with a better rating. Is there any truth to these rumors? Has anyone seen info? We are planning to add a skylight to our windowless bathroom this summer, and would like as much energy efficiency as we can get.
