I am a new member, so this could be a familiar question.
I will be installing a 96 (I think, maybe it’s 98) percent efficient natural gas furnace. I am allowed to vent and intake with 2″ pvc schedule 40 pipe run inside my old chimney.
My old chimney has a jog in it.
Can I use flexible pvc schedule 40 pipe for the venting and exhaust…something I can wiggle past the jog in the chimney? The flexible pipe is made for pond and fountain water lines.
I’m unsure where to go for the definitive answer.
Thanks…..Bob

Bob, have you contacted the furnace manufacturer?

It's Amana. I looked on their website to contact and ask the question but was not finding contact information.
My local inspector said whatever the furnace people recommended was OK.
I thought asking amongst the pros might help point me in the right direction.
Thanks
