Hi,
Are are first time owner builders this year doing most of the work ourselves. I am attaching floorplans and elevations and wondering if I could get some help brainstorming on framing techniques. In our county in Colorado you need an engineered foundation but you do not need to hire an engineer for the structure. The plans were designed by us and drawn up by a coworker.
My main question at this point is if we should use a structural ridge beam and how to figure that out.
Thanks in advance for any info or advice anyone might have.

J&J,
You don't need a structural ridge beam. No offense but if you can't tell you will need more help and this site is dead. You will get more help at BT3. Follow the link below.
