Entry Closet Door converted to barn style sliding, ideas for kick area
I’ve switch my entry closet door to a barn slider type. I used some 100lbs 28″ full extension drawer slides from leevalley.
These two pictures are looking down at the closet space. One empty, one with a shoe shelf that was previously made. The slider system requires two rails one at the top, one at the bottom.
The space between the shelf and under the rail looks unprofessional. I could turn this into a cabinet kick style space, the top of the bottom rail is about 4.5″ off the floor.
Any better thoughts on what to do with this space / how to address it?
You’ll need to click the 3rd picture in order for it to show highwise.
Thank you,

I'd at least cut a piece of plywood to fit behind/below the bottom slide.
