I am working on this L shaped ranch. A sun room was added to the in sideof the L.
The part that is the problem is that they want me to put a rubber gutter up against the house. It.s 6″ deep from the drip edge and 6″ wide. The fall of the flat roof goes back to the houses wall where this gutter is. My Plan is to Line the gutter with the rubber up its walls. Then lifting up the shingles and slideing the rubber under it as far as it will go. Then from the flat roof side lap its edge to the bottom of the gutter and seal it to the glues insrtutions. There is a deck to be built over this roof. Should I lay some gravel on top befor I put on the deck? Your thoughts PLZ

Maybe it's just me, but a drawing would be very helpful. I can't quite visualize this.

Another day, another tool.
Me too, I have never seen a rubber gutter.
EPDM is good stuff but doesn't do much when misused. keep gravel off it for residential jobs like this.
ANY low slope roof fitting under a sloped shingles roof must have the membrane go up slope at least 18" and generally more and be tied in properly. This, IMO, always involves removing a couiple runns of shingles to make the tie-in, getting the membrane under the underlayument and flashing or reinforcing the joint - and then replacing the shingles appropriately and sealing them down.
There area lot of potential variables in what you describe.
