There was a resource online I had used a couple of times when there was something I hadn’t estimated before and was curious if anybody else used it or knew where to find it?

Books and sites like that are only a hint or a guide unless you have an idea what your capabilities are to actually do the work.
But Craftsman Books has the National program for a free thirty day download trial,
or Hometechonline has a site with lots of help. I used to use themon a subscription basis.

Means Cost Data
There are several- as mentioned, Hometech and Craftsman both have them, and I believe Means still has one online.
As Piffin said, though, don't bank on the numbers being correct- they're based on national averages, and don't necessarily reflect your true costs of doing the work. What I've always done with any published data is compare a similar item I know my cost for to the value published for that item in the book or online source. If my cost was say, 20% higher, I'd adjust any published costs by at least that 20%- probably more just to play it safe.
