In connection with an earlier post about fabricating a protective ‘quiet room’ in a residence, I’m looking for a high density fire retardant foam plank that meets ASTM 84e.
I have identified Sealed Air Ethafoam 4101 FR as meeting that (pretty high) threshold. Anybody got any idea where I might be able to purchase some, or have any ideas of alternatives?
Thanks.

found this link... maybe the contact listed at bottom will help find dealers:

Thank you very much.
I've got a message in to Quality Foams, but have not heard back yet.
Dow actually sold off Ethafoam to Sealed Air, although I don't know how long ago. That number rings at Dow.
Sealed Air's master distributor tells me that SA only sells it in truckloads. I'm trying to track down a distributor who buys in that quantity and might sell lesser ones.
I have used this company for other foam things:

I don't see ethafoam listed specifically, but the product I know generically as ethafoam is a polyethylene foam, which they do have (don't see density info on that one). I did not see the specific ASTM standard you mentioned in a quick look-through, but there are other ASTM rated foams, so clearly it's something they know about. Maybe reach out and see if they can help?
Thanks
This is not exactly what you want but it's close. They might have just what you need though.

Since I have, in the past, been called out about not telling the rest of the story, here's what has happened.
I spent a couple of days casting around to try to find a supplier for Ethafoam 4101 FR. I had no luck. I found Millenium Packaging, their master distributor for a lot of stuff, and they checked with Sealed Air for me...truckloads only. I'm pretty sure it was them, though, who referred me to Chestnut Ridge Foam, in Latrobe, PA. They make a fire resistant foam (CR Safeguard) that is used in gym mats and prison mattresses. They were willing to sell to me, but first wanted to see if they could talk to one of their customers that makes wall mats and get a shorter lead time.
So I'm talking to QC Net Works in Iowa, who have been very responsive, and I think that is the way we are going to go. Gym-style wall mats with OSB-mounted FR foam and FR vinyl covering.
Thanks to everyone for your assistance and thoughtfulness. Y'all have been great.
I've got another question that I'll post separately.
