Evaluating and Restoring Circular Saw Blade
Hi,
How can I tell a “good enough” blade from one that must be replaced? I ask this because I have a 8″ circular saw blade (Delta part no. 35-593) that is expensive and hard to find.
The surface has quite a bit of rust. About every other teeth has noticeably rounded corners, but they are not as rusted as the saw disc. Can it be restored? Is it worthwhile to do it?
I am using the saw to cut wood, mostly Douglass fir
Thanks.

check your area for a shop that sharpens saw blades - my local shop sharpens my old school thick blades for a reasonable price and cleans them up as well
good luck
Blades worth it can be re-tipped.
