First, thanks to all for the help yesterday.
New question today. When I am done entering data horizontally across the cells and wish to return to the left next row down, what the easiest way to get there?
I’m using the arrow keys but I’m sure there must be a shortcut.
Thanks

[down arrow] [home]
or the mouse
or...
also if you've created titles for each column and have made entries in the last column hit the enter key, it ought to return you to the beginning of the next row for data entry

DUH
I never thought of trying that based on how many times I've hit enter instead of tab while entering data and lost the formula in that particular cell.
I guess by now my cell functions should be locked?
Can I cheat and ask tomorrows question today?
How do I lock the cell functions?
Thanks so much, I truly appreciate you help.
[Tools] [Protection]
My memory is fuzzy on the details of Locking Cells. Something about protecting the sheet first but I'm not sure due to dead brain cells.
Use the help section which is pretty useful from [Help] or if you have the box that says "Type a question for help."
Don't feel bad. Sometimes I'm expecting things to be too automated expecting it to read my mind like some other apps seem to do and the obvious jsut blows right be me. Zooom!
Thanks again!
All cells by default are "Locked". You can verify this by going to a cell, right-clicking, and looking at the protection tab.
In order to enforce the lock, you must protect the worksheet:
Tools -> Protection -> Protect Sheet. (The most common choice here is to un-check the option "Select locked cells".
So, select the cells you want to be editable. Right-click -> Format -> Protection -> Un-check locked.
Then protect the sheet, and you won't muck up the formulas.
