Some time ago a nice guy type contractor e-mailed me a few Excel Templates that were designed for project management, Estimating, Scope changes & steps to building a house check list type thing.
They were great but our house burned down 🙁 along with my computer. I would really like to get them back.
If you remember sending me such items I would like to receive them again if possible. Or, if YOU have any such templates I would love to receive them.
Thanks
Ted Rowell
Also, wondering if anyone would have an old copy of SoftPlan I could buy just to learn from to see if I like it enough to spend the MUNGY dollars for the latest version.

You sound like a good advertisement for doing regular backups and storing a copy off site. When I was doing computer support, I used to advise such things...
Let's see, when was the last time I did a backup, hmm, last year sometime? Offsite storage, hmm, real soon now...
Softplan has a demo cd that is free. I think it is full-featured, except that you can't save or print. I use Chief. They have a lite version, 5.0 I think, that is a waste of money, except that it gives a good idea of the full version and they will give a significant price break for uipgrading to the full version.

They have a tonne of excel stuff there. If they don't have a template that fits your purpose, they do have the tools to get you setting one up yourself.
