extension ladder with adjustable feet

I need to purchase a new 36-40′ extension ladder, in the past I saw a ladder advertised with adjustable feet to compensate for uneven ground. Has any one used such a product or know of such a product????

I thought that Werner made a retro fit kit, I know they make a ladder with thhem factory installed but i'm not sure if they have them on ladders that tall.
That is the Werner Equalizer.

But the longest one is 28 ft.
Werner and I think that many other ladder manfactures and 3rd parties make addon levelers.

Thank you very much
Now only to find out who is selling the products in Canada.

It's a really neat feature to have. The Werner self leveling one (I think it's model PK-80) is the one that I have, and it really does work. It does however make getting the ladder roughly into position a little harder. As you initially set the ladder down the first leg to hit the ground will shorten until the other leg extends out and hits. Then it locks in this awkward position. You have to take the weight off of both legs to get it to move again. This can be a chore with a heavier ladder by yourself. Once the ladder is up near where you want it, leveling is quite easy. Lift both legs up and set them down. The ladder will stay oriented the way that you set it. Repeat this as needed to get exactly the position you want.
I installed this kit on one of my 2 Werner 28' fiberglass ladders. In spite of the added difficulty in initially setting the ladder, it is completely worth it. You just need to get used to not pushing the ladder onto only one foot when setting it up.
My only complaint is that the installation is a pain. Also taking the saw to your brand new, expensive ladder and cutting the lower 8" off of each leg it is not a good feeling. There is no going back to the original feet. Make sure you measure and remeasure before cutting. Make sure you use the right template, as there are several of them included. If you screw up your ladder will be worthless.
They appear, and feel just as sturdy as the fixed legs, and should work fine on as tall of a ladder as you need. I think that the instructions indicated that also, but I'd double check Werners website first. (update: the site says "ALL" lengths of ladder). Looking at the website it reminded me of how it widens the stance at the feet making it more stable than with stock feet.
I think that this kit is about $100+ retail. I got mine new on ebay for $50 with a sealed but worn out looking box.

They are available on the web, such as Amazon.com. Somebody has got to be willing to ship to Canada.
sandalboy,
I have a Werner product out in my garage right now" auto leveler"---PK80-2 that I never got around to installing
Opened the box----had that same scary feeling --and put it away
Had it for 6 years now
24', 28', and 32' fiberglass ladders---------think I otta just be a man ---and finally put it on the 28' one ????
LOL, Stephen
Yep, or put them on ebay. You probably could get 50+ bucks for them. No point storing them if you don't use them.
Lynn Ladder Company sells levelers for extension ladders . I googled "Lynn Ladder" and found them in about 10 seconds
