The front step and landing at the front of my house have sunk. They were built on a concrete pad and it seems that the backfill was not adequately tamped before pouring the concrete pad. The whole thing has sunk straight down. It is not tilting. I’ve seen articles and videos on slab jacking and am wondering if this is an option or should I just remove all the brick, raise the pad, and rebuild the thing. It’s not too big and only has one step. I’ve seen DIY articles using jacks to raise the pad.
Thoughts and suggestions? Thank You.
Note: They appear to be leaning, but the front lawn slopes a bit.

How do you know this is built on a pad? Does it include the step? Are any of the five top parts loose? Are they some kind of stone?
You can always get another step by the door, to make it a smaller step, and watch the whole thing continue to settle over the years. Might not settle much, but would move up and down with seasonal changes.
If you want it to stay in the same place relative to the house, it needs to be on a foundation that rests on undisturbed earth below the frostline, attached to the house foundation.
I can see the pad at the bottom. Also, my neighbor had the same builder and he had his steps removed and redone......after removing the steps the pad was visible and left in place when the steps were rebuilt.
The step and landing are capped with granite. One piece on the step and a few pieces on the landing.
The house is 32 years old and hopefully the settling has stopped.
Wouldn't adding a smaller step on top of the landing make it awkward?
My hope was to either jack the whole thing or remove and rebuild the landing and step.
Only you (or others in the house) can say if an additional step would be awkward. It would not likely match. Just another option to consider.
