Can anyone explain to me how the EZ Breathe (a small air exchanger) system can do the job of 7 dehumidifiers when the only thing is does is exchange the air in a room.
I am trying to understand the process if such a device was placed in a basement located in a humid area such as New England. Check out the unit on the web and read the advertisements.
I am curious about what other people think about this device.
Thinking back, I read an article in FHB about a simple device that is mad out of 6″ duct and an axial fan that sounds like it does the same thing. The article lives somewhere in FHB but I can’t locate it.

Or you could post a link to the product you wanted people to look at. Just a thought.

Look, just send me to my drawer. This whole talking-to-you thing is like double punishment.
The device works if it is ventilating an area (such as a damp basement) that is abnormally humid due to moisture evaporating from walls and floor. Won't do much good if you're trying to bring the humidity inside a Florida home down below outside levels.
I had to google since you provided no links for the advice to read about it on the web. Found a pretty decent discussion here -

Sounds like it is mostly a humistat regulated exhaust fan for damp basements. good general concept for certain locations but marketed with an over priced unit.
Is this it here?

This posting was about a similar product, Humidex.
The advanced search will find several other thread about it.

It is basically a scam.
The website does accurately explain what happens up to the main point.
Relately cool and moist air from the basement is exhausted.
Drawing in moderate temp and dryer air conditioned air from the 1st floor.
But they don't tell you what happens next.
The first floor is now depresserized so it suck in HOT HUMID outside air for the AC to run some more and dry out.
And it is expensive for what is basically a bathroom fan and small section of vent pipe.
Circulating the air within the house and an added humdifier, if needed, is much better.
