Snow took down one of our pines near where we park the cars/trucks. I was amazed, but not a vehical was scratched. Fortunately, the tree got caught up on its way down by trees across the drive, otherwise it might have damaged the truck and van.
Ironically, I was looking at that treet the other day; it had a bad lean to it. And my wife had wanted to cut it down two years ago, but noooo, I didn’t want to lose the old Christmas tree farm atmosphere.
We’re just happy nothing was damaged.
Once I cleared off a few branches, we were able to drive the vehicals out of the way.
And cut up the rest of the tree. (I set my glasses down and forgot to put them back on, trying to beat the sunset.)

Now THAT was close call!
Thats why I did bite bullet and spend 800.00 to have my parking area crusher trimmed last fall!
You were lucky.

We spent the same amount for the same thing, two years ago. The place was a Christmas tree farm 30 years ago, and when they built the house they took a lot of care to not remove too many pines. But the trees had begun to close in, so my wife hired a tree service. I wasn't happy, and selected a few to save, including this one. Oh well, it sure opens the house up now, with it gone.
Dump runs tomorrow, though.

I just saw your post and had to add my pictures from last summer. My father died the previous year and left me his truck, a 2001 2500 Ram Diesel with 58,000 miles on it. The old man always took amazing care of things so it was in great shape. That truck was a big upgrade from my 1982 ford 3/4 ton. I added a topper, which would have really pissed my Dad off ("it's not really a truck now, Kid") My mom gave my two siblings and I small wooden boxes with a little of dad's ashes in them. I kept mine in the dash of his truck so he could continue to ride around with me.
Anyway, I had a tree incident on July 13th. I'm not superstitious, but it was Friday the 13th. I had a bad day at work, so I drove home and thoroughly cleaned my truck. Pulled everything out of the cab, vacuumed, polished the interior, washed the exterior, steel wooled the rims, waxed it, the whole package. Went to bed tired but happy. The wife woke me up when she got in from cooking at the restaurant we own, saying "oh my god, have you seen your truck?" I sleepily replied, "looks good doesn't it?" After she wrestled me out of bed this is what I saw.
So what's the rest of the story? Insurance cough up any money? Did you get it fixed? Was your dad's box still on the dashboard? Nice looking rig, if you like convertibles, lol.
