I am looking for some guidence on how to build a farmer’s porch or better yet if I could find plans for one that would be a great help. Does anyone have any suggestion as to where I could find such plans?

To prevent moisture buildup and improve performance, install a continuous air barrier—such as drywall or specialized membranes—under tongue-and-groove boards or other interior wall paneling.

Stu,
You need to be a little more specific, "Farmers porch" can mean a lot of different things.

well, I'm kinda a farmer (fruit grower) and I have a porch, a nice one, what would you like to know?
it's kinda nice to have part of the porch open underneath so the dogs, cats, and skunks have a place to hide out -- a porch swing is standard, but if you have to choose, lay it out so there is room for a hammock - often, part of the porch is the path into the house - there is always a scraper and brush so you can get the $hit off your shoes - a hydrant is nice for watering the pets, plants, and for filling buckets - - I have a little alcove where I can get out of my work clothes, if I've been spraying or something, so I'm not dragging nasties into the house proper - - part is enclosed so the plants have a transitional space between cold/hot seasons- a good place for puppies and kittens also - put a table beside the door into the house so there's a place to set stuff - coat hooks and a small bench - big high shelves for the ice cream freezer, coolers, and sports equipment - maybe a freezer or second fridge - floor drain so you can hose it down every once in a while - eaves layed out so you dont pass thru a drip on the way in -
