Building a house in Maine with pvc fascia.  My question is, there are several areas where the fascia will “die” into the roof decking (dormer window), what is the standard gap to leave the fascia off the decking.  I am putting the fascia on first and want to give  roofer enough room to get the shingles under the fascia? Also would you apply flashing to the sub fascia where it meets the decking prior to attaching the pvc fascia.
