fascia or drip edge which is first
A friend of mine is having an addition put on his house.
When I stopped by to check it out , I noticed there was not fascia installed.
Apparently the contractor told him that would go on after the roof and drip edge.
i thought the drip edge should be mounted over the fascia board.
Any comments?
thanks

different strokes for different folks... it's not the sequence that's important,
it's the installation
my first boss always roofed first ( roof payment from the bank )
then we would slip the fascia up under the drip edge
me, i do fascia first, then drip edge
I think the original poster's concern might be that the drip edge will drain behind the fascia. Based on your response, I believe the answer is that regardless of the order that it is installed, it should be installed to drain over the fascia.
In the house I'm building now, because of scheduling concerns (I was in a hurry to get the house waterproofed and didn't want to wait until the Azek fascia and rake could be done by the siding guy) we just held out the drip edge the width of the Azek.
Worked great.
