fasteners with new PT lumber???

i’ve heard that with new PT lumber (ACQ rather than CCA), you cannot use galvanized fasteners unless you break the contact with Ice & Water Shield or builder’s felt. OR you can use stainless steel fasteners. confirm or deny these rumors?!?!?!

    Use the search function at the bottom of the screen and you'll dig up oodles of information on this topic.

    The short story.... double hot dipped galvy fasteners or SS, copper flashing, and Z Max hardware will do the trick.

    Electrogalvanized, aluminum flashing, and the old hardware will most certainly fail sooner than later.
