Hey Guys,
I’m going to use some plastic trim to make trim pieces for above the front windows of a friends house. I found the crown and 1×6 at the local yard. It has a brand name Miratec, or something like that. Expensive, but I shouldn’t have to paint again. I’m wondering how you guys nail, glue, caulk, etc. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Miratech isn't plastic- its a composite wood product. Think of it as exterior masonite. It comes primed, but needs a topcoat of paint.
I've used it a fair amount. You glue it just like wood. I like to use either Titebond 3, or one of the polyurethane glues, like Gorilla glue. Make sure you prime any cuts that won't be glued with an oil base primer, so it won't absorb moisture.
I generally use a finish or siding gun to nail it. Its denser than pine, so you might have to dial up the pressure a bit.
I caulk with a good quality latex caulk.
If you want a product that doesn't need painting, consider Azek or Koma. Both are cellular PVC products, have a number of moulding profiles available, are white all the way thru the board, are completely resistant to rot, and can be cut and nailed like wood. You do need a PVC cement to glue it. I like the Azek cement, since its water clean up.
Thanks for the info and tips. I was wrong, the name is Versatex. Online site says it is pvc. We'll see how it works.
OK, about the only difference in working MiraTech and PVC trims is the kind of adhesive needed. Don't use finish nails to install the PVC, tho, because it will expand and contract quite a bit with temp. changes, and needs a stronger fastener.
I use either SS ring shank nails, or SS trim screws.
