Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
thanks, i located a new switch on line and ordered it, only about 30 dollars, plus shipping, hope it gets it fixed
Well, it certainly doesn't sound like a bad dolly wheel.
Obviously the switch is the problem, though on some units the switch is fairly complex, with mechanical connections that could be a factor in the problem.

Yeah, I think I've read that in a Steven King story. Soon, even unplugging it won't cut it off.
You're going to need an excorcism.
Forrest - glad to help diagnose problems
Edit - your handle's not from Bukowski, by any chance?

sure is, it is a miss-spelling of his first novel, factotum, jack of all trades, but he was a jack of none, but a hell of a writer, i even called him on the phone many many years ago before he became famous
Cool! I'm a big Buk fan. One of my great memories of visiting friends in SF was going to City Lights bookstore, and buying one of every one of his books in stock - like 45 of them; got them shipped back to GA. still collect; have maybe 65-70. the early stuff is on crap paper; doesn't last.
I read tons of everything; Bukowski is the only writer I've found that writes like I actually "think".
His book of poetry, The Rooming House Madrigals - '46-'66, is just beyond belief good.
I have a CD of him reading some pieces; lotsa' good stuff
I'm envious that you spoke with him. I'm a latecomer - maybe discovered him early '90s.
Forrest - going across the hall to the library now for a Bukowski fix
