Thumbing through the latest issue reading the various Tips & Techniques offerings…..Im curious as to what some of the favorites you all have picked up over the years. I guess Ive been subscribing about ten years now, so Im sure some of you will have some older ones.
Two of my favs…
(1) Using a spring clamp to hold a square at the short point of a miter so that tape measure can be hooked and drawn out. I have used this since the day I read it and it works great. With finer woodworking I still prefer to burn an inch, so this method doesnt come into play there…..but when within a 32nd is reasonable, its great.
(2) I havent actually tried this yet, but it seems so simple, Im gonna give it a try. In a recent issue someone suggested attaching an inexpensive air filter to the back of a box fan via vinyl “J” channel to help take dust from the air….sounds like a winner, I`ll let you know what I think in the future.
Lemme hear some of yours!
