Favourite brand/type of snips/cutting method for aluminum soffit and vinyl siding??
I recently finished installing all of the soffit and fascia on a 24’x32′ garage and I have a pair of large handled tin snips that I find perfect for cutting aluminum soffitt and SLIGHTLY underleveraged for cutting vinyl siding. I also have a pair of long nose tin snips that i use for vinyl siding and roof edge details, channel runner and the like.
I just wondered if anyone out there has an easier/quicker/more efficient method or tool for cutting vinyl siding and workin with aluminum soffitt and fascia.

Circular saw with a steel plywood blade put in backwards, make a saw table out of a 2x12 with 1x3 or 1x4 attached to the edges then make a shootin board for the saw and attach square to saw table. You can cut 2 or 3 panels at a time stacked on top of each other. When you get to the gables set the shooter to the angle you need. A lot easier than cuttin with snips and the cut is as good as a factory edge.
Use a multifunction tool

The cat's meow for cutting vinyl siding is a multifunction oscillating tool.
I just sided my house using the cheap $20 one from Harbor Freight.
It goes through the siding like a hot knife through butter.
Use the plunge tool and hold it on about a 45 degree angle.
One of the more expensive battery powered units would be perfect.

Why?
A circular saw on a cut sled is so quick. How could a multi master type tool be any easier and faster?
That's stretching the MM use a bit too far.
Cutouts for a light block or on a remodel, maybe.
But cutting siding / soffit to length?
