Hello –
While shopping around for Fein sander and vac, I noticed Coastal Tool has unbelieveable prices on them. Substantially cheaper then Amazon/Tool Crib.
I would appreciate some feedback from folks who have purchased from them, especially Fein tools.
(Amazon does have free shipping, but Coastal’s listing of Fein tools is far more user friendly.)
I’m not trying to plug either one of these companies.
Just trying to be “buyer beware”.
Thanks,
Alan

I got my Fein VS polisher from there, no problem. I tried doing the 10% discount off competitor's prices at toolcrib, but not only was amazon's price $100 higher, they didn't even have it in stock. So I just ordered from coastal.

I live close to their store in West Hartford and shop there frequently. Their prices are good and items are in stock. They stock more than what they list on their website and are quick on special orders. The salesmen really know the products. I highly recommend them.
Coastal is a good place. I've bought a few things therer. They do service work too which is a pre-requisite for me. When I buy a new tool, I first get out the scripto and mark on the case where I bought it and the date. service work goes to same seller.
Excellence is its own reward!
Thanks, ya'll, for the good recommendations.
I had a good feeling about them based on their web presentation.
Piffin's point on after sales service is very good.
Not sure how this would be handled at ToolCrib.

One thing that impressed me about them is that they've had a booth at JLCLive and the reps and repair guys at the booth obviously knew their stuff!
One way to research a tool other than this Breaktime folder, is to contact the place that is your local authorized repair center. Ask the guy who does lots of repairs which one he would buy, or conversely, which one he sees the most returns on. That was my first hint to stay away from Ryobi tools several years ago..
Excellence is its own reward!
I live near Coastal and go there regularly. Coastal is the place to go around here for tools (and staff, and a company) that won't let you down. Haven't tried their mail order for obvious reasons, but I'd be really surprised if you had any problems.
