Could anyone give me an idea what wooden fence labor should cost? The fence will be constructed with vertical posts 8’oc, 2x4s nailed across the post, and 1x4s nailed vertically along the length of the fence on both sides. Thanks for any advice.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

A cheapo fence here in FL, using premade 6x8 panels would average about $10 per foot, materials included. Cheap panels are about $15-20 each. Sometimes a bag of cement is poured in the post hole and watered in, sometimes not.
*Luke, I build fence in Colorado. I charge around $4-$6 per foot labor only to install it. Materials and labor would run around 15-17 per foot. That is assuming cedar material, posts set 7' o.c. and in concrete. Those premade panels IMHO are junk. I would build it in the field. Three rails per section and pickets attached with 6d galv. rings. Local conditions could affect the cost though.Cole
*Guys thanks for the information. Do you mean square foot or liner foot when you say 5 or 6 dollars a foot?
*Sorry Luke,I meant 5-6 dollars per linear foot. I wish I could get that per square foot.Cole
*you might find this site useful in the future. i'm not sure, but they may include labor estimates once they redesign the program:http://www.diyonline.com/servlet/GIB_BaseT/SoftwareGuide.html?session.highlightedTool=FenceDesigner&session.channelID=4&session.ccid=4brian
