I’ve built a new fence and gates that I had always assumed would be
painted but now my wife likes the look of the natural wood. The fence
is a frame and panel style with douglas fir frames on the fence and
western cedar frames on the gates, all inset with 1×6 T&G pine
panels. Obviousy not the best choices but that’s what I’m stuck with.
So, I’d like to darken the color of all the woods and then use a clear
finish. Any suggestions?
