I would love to, but I can't find anything there about the TPI. I was hoping another user might be able to give me a number. Thanks, though. I need a dump truck, baby, to unload my head

        The ones I use the most are S 75 4 K, S 75 4 FSG, S 145 4 FSG.

Could tell me which blades you use for what? I'd appreciate it, cos the festool site is making me feel pretty dull<G> I need a dump truck, baby, to unload my head

I use the S 75 4 K, S 75 4 FSG, as my general use blades, the 4K has more "set" and is narrower (front to back) than the 4 FSG so, tighter are curves easier. The S 145 4 FSG is almost 6" long and makes short work of 4x4s.As was suggested, you can use Bosch blades in your saw so if you find a blade pattern you like you can then match it to the Festool blade. In my experience, the Festool blades are stiffer and the "aggressive" blades leave as good a finish as the finer Bosch blades i.e. 8 tpi Festool vs. 12 tpi Bosch. If you use the thinner(Bosch) blades in thick stock you'll do well to adjust the blade guide to reduce deflection/wander.I suggest you buy a few packs of different blades and find what you like. Eventually, you'll find uses for any blade you purchase.Jim

Thanks all for the kind words! Yes, I am in NJ, but have customers across the country. Questions? Just let me know!

Here's a PDF with a comparison of Festool  and Bosch blades. They are for the most part very similar - Festool blades are made in Germany and Bosch blades are made in Switzerland. Festool does offer a series (TRION) of thicker blades, that when adjusted properly with the Festool jigsaw guides roller on the saw and proper technique, really work well to reduce any lateral blade deflection in thicker stock and/or when making curved  cuts.

Hey Bob, thanks for hooking me up. For everybody, I got the S75/ 2.5...and they got here the next day!Same blades also make our Boschs cut straighter. Now, why doesn't the Trion have a variable speed trigger and dust blower?<G> I need a dump truck, baby, to unload my head

Over at the festool forums they raved about this guy in NJ.  He has been a dealer for quite a while and really has a following.

I've heard of him, but didn't realize he was here in NJ.

I bought my Trion jigsaw thru my local tool store.

It probably doesn't make a lot of difference which I buy from, but I do get to play with 'em at the toolstore

I've heard the jersey guy has helped people who did not buy though him with problems they have had, just really does everything he can for people.

Festool controls the pricing, so everywhere is the same.  My neighboring state, New Hampshire has no sales taxes, so I make planned purchases there.

I'm looking for something close to the Bosch 101B. The blades I've got are just a little too coarse. I'll try to look up those numbers you've posted. Thanks I need a dump truck, baby, to unload my head

            Hey Snort

Is there a reason you want the Festool blades rather than the Bosch? Have you noticed some quantifiable difference?

I run a Festool saw, but I use Bosch blades because they are available everywhere.

            Just curious.

Hey Pooch, The festool blades I've got are thicker than the bosch blades I've been used to. I tried a 101B in the Trion, and the blade wanders. I have to jigsaw a lot of hardwood, and mostly need perpendicular cuts...the festool is a champ at that, hence my quest. I need a dump truck, baby, to unload my head

Many thanks, I'll give him a try. I'm doing a hick'ry job, and a little finer blade would be sweet. I need a dump truck, baby, to unload my head
