Question about the pic on page 54.
they removed the wall on the right side of the hallway (not sure if it was the load bearing wall or not, just suppose it was)
the 4×4 trimmed posts that run along the countertop, how are they attaching them?
Also, if the beam spanned quite a distance, would those posts now be support posts? And if so, is it “safe” to attach them to the countertop and not a full length post?

sobriety is the root cause of dementia.
The photo isn't really clear here but it looks like the posts go through to the floor. The nearest post looks like the corner reveal goes below the countertop and the far post looks the same way. Again, the photo details here are pretty small but these posts have to be going down to the floor.
