I just built my first kitchen. Been doin turn key work for years but never really built a kitchen. It was pretty fun. I built this house for a friend of 20 years and she wanted me to build all of the doors barn style with the z pattern over the slats, and the same for the cabinet doors.I milled them all and glued and clamped them.then installed the z to help hold it all together and used acorn hardware for the latches and hinges. Pretty simple really.
But I’m rambling on.
She wanted them in cypress along with the cabnet faces.Tried to talkk her out of it since cypress is soft.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to make good filler for cypress besides the old empty sander bag in container and add glue.
just another day in paradise

Famowood(sp?) has a couple colors that might work, I just built a few doors in cypress and I used pine and birch, depending on wheather or not the area was light or dark.
